Matari Alternator: The Dynamo of Choice for Engine Users!
23 April, 2025

Matari alternators are also commonly referred to as dynamos. There are 3 types of Matari alternators, namely ST, STC and UC. Here the Alternator or Dynamo acts as a power generator for all components in the engine that require electrical power. Components in vehicles that require electricity, for example, such as lights, car air conditioners, car tape and of course ships.
Differences in 3 types of Matari Alternators
Matari alternators have 3 types, namely ST, STC, and UC. Here are the differences between the three types of Matari Alternators.
1. ST
The ST type Matari alternator has a carbon brush system. The main function of the carbon brush itself is to drain the electric current from the rotating generator component through the commutator. This type of alternator is 1 phase with a voltage of 220.
2. STC
Not much different from the ST type, but what distinguishes this type of alternator has 3 phases with a voltage of 380.
3. UC
The UC type Matari alternator has an AVR system. The AVR system stands for Automatic Voltage Regulator, where this component functions to continue to maintain the balance or stability of the voltage of a generator set when dealing with electrical loads that often change.
The UC type Matari alternator has two models, namely single bearing and double bearing.
Advantages of Matari Alternator
The advantages of Matari alternators type ST and STC have copper coils that produce more electricity and are supported by an iron body case which causes the dynamo heat to be more stable.
While the advantages of the UC type are full copper coils that produce more electricity and are supported by AVR technology which makes the voltage more stable.
